March and April…..very busy for GCE!

March and April…..very busy for GCE!

Amidst trials and attacks the ministry goes on! The Lord sent five Short Term Mission teams
in a row to Guatemala GCE/CHE!.

First, the team from Calvary Church, Muscatine Iowa who have been almost uninterruptedly coming since 1999, came with 25 people March 8-16. 5 pairs of them were parent/child! The local CHEs and Trainers at the CHE villages of Los Alonzo and Buena Vista received a strong thrust as both church facility projects were advanced with the labor and materials shared. Then all the patients treated during the dental and medical clinic who were witnessed to re-enforcing the on-going evangelism by the CHEs. The children ministered to at the school and village would not want to let the team go back home! Blessed growing partnership!

Then the AMSA  Team from Baylor University, Texas with Dr. Matt Porter helped us during the 5 medical/dental clinic days. Each and all the pre-med students were also able to shadow the local physicians Fredy and Hugo and Dentist Jose too. Again, the village’s children almost did not let the team go back home. The local CHE Committe and CHEs have kept following up to the patients who were open to the witnessing. Blessed week March 9-17!

Above, a handful of pre-med students and mentors.

Besides the medical and dental clinic at the Quiche CHE Village of Quilin-Novillo on the Cuchumatanes Range of Mountains, 30 pastors and church leaders from several villages and 44 youth leaders were very much enriched and equipped in the Word of God by the Seminars shared by senior Pastor James Ruiz and Pastor James youth pastor from Living Word Chapel, Oracle AZ, on March 14-20. Among the many patients seen and prayed for there came local pastor Mauricio who is now with the Lord as he went home only over a week ago due to Cystic Pulmonary Fibrosis. But the Church and CHEs go on!

Bay Pres Church from Ohio visited the village of Chirramos on March 16 on a scouting trip to see first hand the impact of CHE on the village. Both visitors and hosts were so blessed that BPC is been guided to enrich their already existing partnership with GCE.

The church facility at CHE village of Chirramos is already completed with access to the future second floor. The construction STM team from Mission Community Church Gilbert AZ again worked shoulder to shoulder with the local CHEs on March 24-31.

The impact was even greater when the men’s team served pizza meal to 60 locals and seconds went to the children and women, unusual for this context where women are treated as second class beings. What would have Jesus do?

The CHE villagers heard that David, team leader, saw his birthday there. The pinata party was enjoyed by children and adults as well. More manifestations of God’s love!.

GCE´s multipurpose office in Xela can be converted into a carpenter´s shop in a blink of eyes. Our missionary friend Duane Diener donated his time coming to build 2 more wooden portable cabinets for our mobile clinics pharmacy. Jr assisted Duane and now we can carry more organized meds with us to reach more people for the Lord Our Healer.

……grateful to Duane and his wife Kelly for their unconditional help!.

On Monday March 25-26, Hugo had the privilege to preach 3 times in 24 hours at the CHE village of El Suj (Cuchumatanes Mountains) on occasion of the dedication of the new church kitchen which fed more than 800 people from several villages around.

El Salvador:
The two sewing machines donated by Camino Community Church California have come to
equip the many CHE Women waiting to continue training for more micro-enterprise options around the villages in the District of Quezaltepeque. Here our CHE Woman trainers team happily show the new tools.

Nicaragua:From April  5 through 20, Hugo and Miriam drove to and from Nicaragua. They joined there pastor Linda Rinzel from Mission Community Church Gilbert AZ. With our Region’s CHE Woman Resource Facilitator Darling Lopez plus Roger Pavon, Area Coordinator and Nicaragua FIEMCA CHE teams, they all went around the Island of Ometepe, Boaco, Chinandega and Managua. A total of 312 women were trained on Prevention and Restoration to Victims of Abuse, Rape and Domestic Violence plus crafts for micro-enterprising to help in their families income.

Darling reports testimonies like these ones were the immediate results:
“I was abused at age 6. One of my uncles abused me. My mother knew about it–I thought– and I hated her to the point of wishing her death since she did nothing to defend me. She always hurt me and never expressed love to me. It was until God brought me to him that I became able to understand my mother´s behavior. Now that God allowed  pastor Linda to come here I became able to understand the most difficult “I had never forgiven my mother and she never knew what had happened to me”. God opened my understanding and made me forgive my mother and myself and gave me the restoration I needed. Thanks to God for the testimonies as the one from pastor Linda whom the Lord has made bold and courageous to share those.”

Jaquelyn Cajina, gave us permission to share her testimony too. Jaqueline is a CHE volunteer in El Congo on the Ometepe Island. She said: “I have been abused by my husband for more than three years. After the seminar with Pastor Linda I decided to believe that God does not want me to be submitted to abuse, I talked to my husband and told him that God does not want more abuse in our home. If he does not change I will report him before the authorities” She prayed to receive Jesus and began attending the local church. Glory to God.

……Miriam proudly showing her pupils progress!….

……small groups discussing the Scriptures during Linda’s lesson…..

….Integration can not be missing, a lady reviewing the Scriptural notes while the rest work their crafts to completion.

Linda Rinzel , Miriam and Hugo were blessed to be at the CHE village of El Limonal Chinandega when the first truck loads of construction materials were delivered to the site
to begin the building of the very first house from the partnership of 1Mission Arizona & CHE FIEMCA/GCE. This housing project has begun to bless Fatima and her family as she has over exceed — by the scores– the minimum 200 hours of community volunteer service as CHE Woman master trainer with Darling plus the CHE FIEMCA team & GCE.

Fatima, second in row, and her fellow CHEs as always working hard!.

A prayer dream coming true!  Praise the Lord with us all and pray that there will be many more new dignifying homes as the Lord will provide.

Mexico:
Jacob Sotelo, Mexico Area Coordinator, from his base at the Tarahumara Hospital (partners Mexico Medical Mission MMM), with wife Rachel went back to Tecate on April  and taught  Urban TOT1 to this group of new CHE Trainers upon invitation of Rancho La Paloma. This multiplication of CHE servants along the border MEX/USA may be instruments for wholistic Transformation as we all pray for them and God will allow us to follow up.

Earthquake follow up!
At the village of Las Barrancas (Guatemala) the people who received help from you all in prayer and gifts for materials to rebuild share their progress.

This young family (above) only requested help for new tin roofing!

This other couple only asked for a tin box!

But those who lost all, received materials to begin all the way again! Praises to the Lord and our gratitude to you all on their behalf.

In GCE We can truly express like the Apostle Paul:

Philippians 4:
16for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs.17Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.18But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.19And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus20Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
May we ask you to go to the prayer tab now?
