There is a time to everything, May and June 2013

May and June 2013 at the Mesoamerica CHE Region in Global CHE Enterprises.

Our CHE villages in Guatemala among the Mam and Quiche peoples did welcome the STM video filming team from Mission Community Church during the week of May 10-15.

During those days the visitors were able to do footage from people like Juana Melchor who had lost her house due to the earthquake last November in Los Mendez. Her sorrow has come to an end since your investment of prayer time and gifts have allowed her and her family to build a new house of their liking (below).
Juana also very proudly showed to us her chickens from the CHE Poultry project  at her village and shared testimony how her chickens have survived the latest local epidemics because she learned which vaccine and how to vaccinate her chickens  as she learned from the CHEs who were also taught by the Christian Veterinary Mission during the last 3 previous mission trips. Multiplication=CHE Core Value.
This other family –Santos & Margarita Romero – who also had lost their home are now so blessed that the wife told us she is so thankful to the Lord as she had never thought she was ever going to be living in a house like her new one. (below).
But, there are many families in the area  still waiting because their time to build their needed house seems to be not so near yet due to their  limitations to also complete the needed materials (below).
The rain season has already started and their shelters have proven not to be rain proof.

The STM team from the Christian Vet Association came again (May 18-26) to assess the CHE poultry and livestock projects  and to continue to teach how to vaccinate and care for their animals. Upon arrival to Quilin Novillo the team realized the animals were been brought by the scores (below)…
….then the donated grinders (below) already installed to help the villagers to make their own feed for their animals with locally available ingredients. A Rotary Club and Mission Community Church donated the grinders so we praise God for them and our gratitude from the villagers also goes to them.
Dr. Tom and Diane Schiefer Veterinary Team Leaders holding a meeting with the local CHEs (below) hearing first hand testimonies. Adolfo Leon our Area Coordinator for Central America 2 as Agronomist plus Dr. Frank Ramos , Vet,  were important part of this week too.

June 4 -8. Hugo and Miriam were blessed to attend the International Council meeting of Medical Ambassadors Int. honoring the kind invitation by MAI. Mount  Hermon California was very inspiring and motivating for Miriam’s first time ever there. To share with all the coordinators of all 10 regions around the world and their spouses, and all MAI Staff continues to be  refreshing, inspiring and equipping to continue with our calling: CHE through GCE to Mesoamerica and beyond.
Miriam also had the privilege to share one of her skills with the MAI ladies attending from several cultures. Miriam demonstrated (above) how the Mam females of Guatemala weave their fabrics and personal ornaments. As our Region’s Crafts CHE Resource Facilitator for CHE Woman Program Miriam is learning this skill from a real Mam CHE at home to teach others and help in their  CHE Micro Enterprise efforts.

On June 4 through 12 the CHE village of El Suj –on the 12,000 feet high Cuchumatanes Range of Mountains–  was encouraged by the STM team from First Baptist Church of Pine Arizona to have come to join the locals on their construction efforts (below) plus holding the medical/dental clinic with our teams.
Pastor Mike and Barbara Ward (below)  faithfully and tirelessly  keep coming year after year, always through Face to Face International. Praises to God for all of them at First Baptist of Pine, Arizona.

Simultaneously on June 9-15 we had the blessing of hosting our Water Well Projects Mentors and Equippers, the  Douglas Brothers  plus Bill who came again to join the CHEs at the Mam Village of Xanchenil in their effort to provide water for  all their neighbors complementing the witnessing with the Water of Life in Jesus. Below you see our GCE Board Chairman Mike Douglas about to lead the prayer to begin the well drilling…
….and here (below) you can see the locals already formally protected the well been developed 48 hours after the completion of the well itself. The local CHEs did not wait 2 months to keep working, they continued right away proving Community Ownership of their project, a must in Community Health Evangelism implementation.

Our Board Member Jim Mott  and Dr. Don Orvis (Face to Face Int) plus team  came to assess and help the  CHEs at Los Alonzo on their CHE planted Church construction Project. June 8-12 were not enough days according to the locals who wished  to have them around for longer.
