…”Blessed is he who reads…”

Rebeca Perez, member of the CHE team of Trainers among the Tarahumara people on the Range of Mountains in Northern Mexico, a team sponsored by our partner Tarahumara Mission Hospital shares with us all in GCE.

“I would like to tell you that I am very thankful to God because He has allowed me to serve at the Tarahumara village of “El Cebollin”.

This is a very small village in the middle of the Range of Mountains. The only access is through a dirt road about one hour away from Samachique.

I started to teach literacy to these group of women since the last part of 2017. They had concluded among their community priorities was the need to learn to read and write.

I teach them once a week and the number of women attending has varied between 8 to 25. But the one never failing to attend is Refugia, who is about 50 years old and had never grabbed a pencil in her hands.

As most Tarahumara women Refugia is very timid but I have seen in her face the satisfaction to identify and write several letters already.

I have also discovered in her a sensitive spirit which allows her to draw beautiful pictures full of colorful flowers.

We dream and must pray for the day Refugia and all these women will enjoy the blessing of reading the Truth of Jesus in the Gospels and be blessed for eternity.

We remember how in the early 90´s our Mam Trainers Florentín and Abel had entered the village of Los Gonzales in Guatemala. The locals appointed the CHE Committee with only illiterate members. Our teams did teach them how to read and write during a full year previous to do the Committee Training to see CHE launched in their community.

During the month of September the CHE Women in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador were blessed with encouragement received through Miss Paula(Global Women’s Cycle of Life Coordinator) visiting from our Partner Medical Ambassadors International.

Learning from Paula what the Lord is doing through Women’s Cycle of Life around the world will enrich CHE in Mesoamerica and much fruit shall be harvested in this part of the Kingdom.

Two days ago the first cattle offspring came to be at the CHE Center. Leonel the CHE property caretaker gladly shows the ones he is in charge of.

“and he will love you, and bless you, and multiply you; he will also bless the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your livestock and the young of your flock, in the land which he swore to your fathers to give you. You shall be blessed above all peoples: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your livestock.” (Deuteronomy 7).

Pray for this promise not to lack for GCE.

All of our CHE teams in the Mesoamerica Region ) (both GCE´s and our partners) are going to be blessed pretty soon upon the delivery of the Jesus Film and projectors equipment which have been donated by the “Jesus Film Project”. Help us in prayer for a timely delivery so we can begin a new Saturation Wave for communities where others do not usually go.
