Our Obedient Thanks in 2020

We join all of you who have expressed your Thankfulness to the Lord God and prepare to Celebrate more, Yes, the Incarnation of the Word, the only begotten Son, Jesus Our Lord.

But can we be Thankful to God amid the Pandemic and consequences? and amid Hurricanes effects?  Yes, by obedience.

“Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good; for his loving kindness endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods; for his loving kindness endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords; for his loving kindness endures forever

Psalms 136:1-3

“In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you

1st Thessalonians 5:18

Giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father

Ephesians 5:20

It is a command, not a suggestion!

Testimonies

We, in GCE are thankful to the Lord God for some testimonies our CHEs are sharing with us all.

In the Village of Nuevo San Juan (Mam area) the couple Sergio and Rita were about to end their lives. Rita was in bed from severe Peptic Acid Disease due to Sergio sinking in Alcoholism. Only Rita’s mother was taking care of the two children. The CHE committee called the CHE trainers Felipe and Cirilo but the travel restrictions did not allow them to come to the village that day. So the local CHE Committee did as instructed by the Trainers. They went to the house, witnessed to and prayed with the family  who also prayed to surrender their lives to Jesus. Rita was raised from the bed and Sergio left alcoholism and are now both attending church as a family!

In Honduras village of El Porvenir Geraldina Hernandez had have three miscarriages but the CHEs prayed for her and her 4th pregnancy has bear the precious baby who has been dedicated to the Lord in Church! This testimony was sent by Adolfo Leon, Area Coordinator.

As the mobilization restrictions have been eased and some gatherings are partially been allowed in Guatemala, the CHE home visits have resumed. Marcos Gomez Quiche team trainer was able to share some pictorial testimonies also. The harvest for God’s Kingdom continues through the CHE Training!

The result is also one of church growth. The congregation in Calel has continued to slowly add members and bricks  to their construction project. Calvary Church Muscatine Iowa is joining the locals in prayer and investing on the materials also for the locals to keep their hands busy as the Pandemic restrictions ease and allow.

In order to face the lack of jobs also resulting from the Pandemic, the Quiche CHE Women are seeing the Lord’s answer to prayer through Deer Creek Church  of Littleton Colorado intervening in the local Sewing project by investing for the purchase of  37  sewing machines. They have started to be trained and are quickly learning due to the need for productivity.

The coming year 2021

2021 may seem not very promising to our natural eyes. Cross cultural Missionaries will need guidance and discernment to remain on their assigned fields would the situation of unemployment, non-productivity, hunger and famine increase. Amid the happenings of 2020 I can now see God is moving even through this time of the Pandemic! God has opened doors with the Latin World Evangelical Alliance, also known as “ConEl”, with Food for the Poor, with Global CHE Network and Transform World with Ricardo Luna.  Global CHE Enterprises will be bringing CHE training to ConEl leaders in three out of the eight denominations representing 500,000 churches across the continent!  Praise the Lord for this collaborative work!

We have completed seven Fridays, 25 hours online version of the CHE Vision Seminar with 214 leaders and 19 observers out of 233 attending. We hope to move on to TOT1 whenever God will allow. We currently await the minimum international safe travel conditions to be able to enter the countries in the across the continent. We want to apply the full participatory CHE Teaching/Learning strategy in what we now call,  “The Second CHE Training Wave for the Continent.”

Pray that The Lord may keep us healthy and provide the resources needed to accomplish the planned collaboration as we await His timing.

We realize there are so many reasons to be thankful to God: Our partners, you our supporters, our Prayer intercessor who empowers us to be part of  in this Enterprise for the Kingdom of God. Together we can be ready to bring this fruit to Jesus to present Him with Gold, Incense and Myrrh (honor, praise and transformed  lives , families, communities) on Christmas Celebration!
