“Like cold water to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country”.
Proverbs 25:25
As witnessed by a third pair of eyes, last June, J.C a visitor to Guatemala from an alliance of Asian Churches with an outreach to a “Creative Access Country” wrote to all his contacts as follows:
“Hi Friends
Two weeks ago, I was in Guatemala, witnessing the incredible power of the wholistic Gospel of the Kingdom. It transformed villages the UN had labeled steeped in multi-dimensional poverty. These communities previously lacked clean water, sanitation, food, housing, and education and were plagued by widespread hopelessness and other social-psychological desperations. For over 30 years, God used the integrated wholistic approach of Community Health Evangelism to systematically transform villagers by giving them a new identity in Christ and equipping them to physically, socially, and environmentally renew and restore families and surrounding villages. In one of the villages I visited, 95% of the villagers now actively lived out their faith in words and deeds by helping neighbors and nearby villages experience Jesus’ redemptive power in its wholeness. It reminded me of what Jesus said at the start of His ministry in Luke 4:43: “I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of God to other towns also because that is why I was sent.”
The result of those news to J.C.´s contacts has already bear two CHE Vision Trainings at that country. Hugo had been invited to join the training team but this time it did not work for him to join due to other ministry commitments.
